Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and energetic Welder/Fabricator to join our production team. We do custom fabrication in the exterior cleaning industry. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components according to detailed technical drawings and specifications. Your expertise will help ensure the quality and precision of our metal products, contributing to the success of our manufacturing processes. Responsibilities Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings to determine project requirements. Perform welding operations using various techniques such as MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) in accordance with AWS (American Welding Society) standards. Fabricate metal components from sheet metal, metal materials, and other raw materials using hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, and machining equipment. Measure and mark materials accurately using calipers, micrometers, measuring instruments, and shop math to ensure precise fabrication. Assemble fabricated parts by welding, bolting, or riveting while adhering to safety protocols and quality standards. Maintain a clean and organized work environment in the fabrication shop while following all safety procedures related to construction site experience and equipment operation. Collaborate with team members on projects involving construction site experience, crane operation, and mechanical fabrication tasks to meet project deadlines efficiently. Skills Extensive experience with welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, SMAW, and gas metal arc welding in diverse environments. Proficiency in reading mechanical blueprints and interpreting technical drawings for accurate fabrication. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with the ability to use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools. Skilled in sheet metal fabrication, metal materials handling, plasma cutting, machining, and assembly processes. Familiarity with construction site experience and crane operation is a plus for coordinating large-scale projects. Knowledge of AWS standards for welding quality assurance and safety protocol adherence is essential. Ability to utilize hand tools, power tools, shop math skills, and basic math to complete tasks efficiently. Understanding of mechanical blueprint interpretation for precise fabrication work within a fast-paced production environment.
