Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Fabricator / Assembler to join our team at the Cedar Park Manufacturing Center. In this role, you will support the fabrication and assembly of precision-engineered enclosure products, from preparing raw materials through final mechanical assembly. You will work closely with Fabrication, Welding, Paint, and Production teams to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing operations. Required Qualifications Minimum one (1) year of experience in manufacturing, fabrication, mechanical assembly, or a related industrial environment. Proficiency using hand tools and power tools in a manufacturing environment. Ability to accurately read a tape measure and perform basic dimensional measurements. Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions. Basic understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes. Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to accurately read a tape measure, use basic precision measuring tools, and maintain attention to detail. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand, walk, bend, and work on concrete floors for extended periods. Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills. Commitment to working safely and following all NOV Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies. Willingness to cross-train in fabrication, assembly, and other manufacturing operations. Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening. Preferred Qualifications Experience operating Time Saver (wide belt sander) equipment. Experience performing resistance/spot welding. Experience assembling sheet metal enclosures. Forklift and/or overhead crane experience or certification. Experience working in a Lean Manufacturing or 5S environment. Experience using ERP systems such as JDE. Prepare raw sheet metal for fabrication, including measuring, marking, deburring, and material staging. Operate fabrication equipment including shears, band saws, drill presses, Time Saver equipment, and spot welders. Perform spot welding operations per engineering drawings and work instructions. Assemble sheet metal enclosures using hardware, fasteners, hinges, latches, and gaskets. Inspect components for workmanship and dimensional accuracy during fabrication and assembly. Follow NOV HSE policies and maintain a clean, organized work area using 5S principles. Exercise Stop Work Authority for unsafe conditions or quality concerns. Support Lean Manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement activities. Assist with material handling and component preparation for fabrication and welding operations. Complete production documentation accurately and ensure compliance with engineering standards. Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
