Job Description

Blast Control is looking for versatile and experienced Assembly Technician candidates to grow our great team! •This position requires passing a background check to meet customer, contractual, and security requirements. Applicants who cannot meet these requirements will not be eligible for employment. •
Primary Roles & Responsibilities:
Assembly of structural components, using power tools and hand tools. Cutting steel and aluminum, using band saws, chop saws, and grinders.
Crate building:
Cutting lumber, using chop saws and circular saws. Forklift, telehandler, and man-lift operation. Miscellaneous inventory and material handling.
Experience Required:
2+ years in technical trades, such as industrial assembly, construction, manufacturing, fabrication, welding and carpentry.

Trustworthy. Dependable and Punctual. Proficient use of power tools and hand tools. Strong mechanical aptitude and physical ability; stand, kneel, squat, lift, bend and climb. Reading assembly plans and drawings. Committed to excellence and high level of attention to detail. Hard working and self-motivated. Multitasking ability. Trouble-shooting skills. Team player with great collaboration skills. Willing and able to travel to client sites to complete product installations.
Additional Desirable Skills & Traits:
Formal safety training. Welding experience is a plus. Equipment repair/ mechanic skills. Electrical knowledge/ skills.
Equipment operation:
Forklift, telehandler, man-lift. Carpentry/ construction skills. Machine automation. Manufacturing training (i.e., Lean Six Sigma, etc.) Sewing machine operation. CNC machine operation. Leadership skills, training a plus. Belief that any mechanical challenge can be resolved. Opportunities for growth into new roles and responsibilities exist for team members with the drive to pursue them.
Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$16.00 - $18.50 per hour
