Education:
High School or equivalent Key responsibilities Fit and weld sheet metal using TIG (GTAW) and MIG (GMAW) techniques. Prepare joints, execute production welds, and perform finishing operations. Inspect work against drawings and quality criteria; produce consistent results. Read and interpret mechanical blueprints to plan sequence and set-ups. Keep a tidy, safe work area and follow all shop protocols. Adhere to written procedures and take direction effectively. Required experience and skills 5-7 years of hands-on welding experience.
GMAW range:
18ga through 1/2" mild steel.
GTAW range:
0.030" through 1/2" aluminum and stainless steel. Comprehensive knowledge of weld fit-up practices. Competent with calipers, tape measure, and quality control tools/equipment. Detail-focused, punctual, strong team contributor, and self-starter. Excellent communication; able to discuss technical requirements with clients.
