Job Description

As an Assembly Tech, you will be assembling and fitting components of machinery, equipment, or structures, ensuring that they function properly and meet quality standards. The role typically involves reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints, selecting the necessary parts, and assembling them using various tools and techniques. The role is based at our shop located in Round Rock, Texas. You must be willing to work in a non-climate-controlled facility. What is the role?
Reading Technical Drawings:
Understanding and interpreting blueprints, schematics, or diagrams to ensure proper assembly of parts
Assembly:
Fitting together mechanical components, such as motors, gears, and frames, to create a finished product
Tool Use:
Utilizing hand tools, power tools, and machinery (like drills, grinders, and wrenches) to assemble or modify parts
Quality Control:
Inspecting assembled products for defects, accuracy, and compliance with specifications
Welding/Fabrication:
In some cases, an Assembly Tech may also be involved in welding or fabricating parts for the assembly
Testing:
Conducting tests on machinery or equipment to ensure proper functioning and making adjustments if necessary Other duties as assigned Does this sound like you? High school diploma, technical school certification or equivalent experience
Technical Knowledge:
Strong understanding of mechanical systems, engineering principles, and tools Attention to
Detail:
Ensuring precise measurements and adherence to specifications during assembly
Problem-Solving:
Addressing any challenges or issues that arise during the fitting and assembly process
Physical Stamina:
The role often requires standing for long periods and handling heavy materials
Experience:
Typically, assembly fitters are trained through apprenticeships or vocational training programs in mechanical engineering or a related field Ability to perform all work in accordance with established company procedures Ability to lift up to 30LBS, walk, climb and use various equipment Don't meet every single requirement?
