Job Description
Description Premier Pump & Power is a family-owned manufacturer of industrial pumps and energy solutions. We specialize in large, custom, portable pump packages, and our products are renowned for their performance, serviceability and built-in quality. We proudly serve thousands of customers from our global headquarters in Vancouver, Washington and our new manufacturing factory in Houston, Texas.
At Premier you will work on all aspects of pump and industrial manufacturing as part of a mechanical team consisting of entry-level, mid-level and senior mechanics. You will learn every aspect of chassis, engine and industrial assembly, contributing and building your mechanical skills. You will prepare with appropriate tools and safety equipment, take instructions and be a team player.
This is a full-time position located in Spring, Texas.
You will report to the Assembly Supervisor.
Responsibilities Work on all aspects of pump and package manufacturing under the guidance of Lead Assemblers and the Assembly SupervisorFollow all company procedures, paying special attention to safety regulationsAssemble and build units that exceed all quality standards within production time constraintsConduct regular inspections and routine maintenance of Assembly equipment, tools, and machineryOperate manufacturing equipment (training available)Wear and maintain all required Personal Protective EquipmentUnderstand job instructions and complete required job paperwork and documentation in EnglishAble and willing to work in both a warehouse and outdoor environment within different weather conditionsQualifications At least 18 years of ageHigh school diploma / GED, or equivalent additional job experienceHave working knowledge of manufacturing processesExperience working on diesel engines, as well as wet/dry pumpsAble to provide personal tools to complete assigned tasksBenefits Health Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision)Retirement Plan (401k) company matches up to 4% of employee contributionsVacation (up to 40 hours Vacation time accrued per year in years 1-3, pro-rated in year 1 based on start date)Paid Sick Leave8 paid holidays per calendar yearPhysical Requirements and Work Environment Employees must be able to frequently lift and move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds. Close vision is required for this job. While performing the responsibilities of this job, employees are required to speak and understand English, stand and sit, and use their fingers and thumbs. Employees are frequently required to reach with their hands and arms and are frequently required to kneel or stoop.
While working in the factory, performing inspections and troubleshooting equipment, employees may be asked to work under varying weather conditions, operate heavy machinery and tolerate moderate to loud noise levels.
Employment will be conditioned upon passing a pre-employment drug screen and a criminal background check.
