Job Description

Position Summary Perry Company is looking for a dependable, hardworking Fabrication Technician to join our Fabrication Department. This position will work with a variety of fabrication equipment to cut, bend, drill, and prepare metal components used in our manufacturing process. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a fabrication or manufacturing environment, be comfortable using different types of machinery, and be able to read a tape measure accurately. Welding experience is a plus but is not required. HOURS Full-time, Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM-2:30 PM , or hours directed by management. Job Responsibilities Operate fabrication equipment safely and efficiently, including: Press Brake for sheet metal Iron Worker for angle iron and flat bar Drill Press Chop Saw CNC Fiber Laser Pipe Bender Forklift Measure, cut, bend, drill, and prepare metal parts according to job specifications. Read and understand basic drawings, measurements, and work instructions. Perform basic quality checks to make sure parts meet specifications. Safely handle and move raw materials and finished parts. Keep the work area clean and organized. Follow all company safety procedures and wear required PPE. Perform basic equipment checks and report maintenance or safety concerns. Work with other departments to help keep production moving. Complete other fabrication or production duties as needed. Qualifications Previous fabrication, machine operation, or manufacturing experience preferred. Ability to accurately read a tape measure. Experience with press brakes, iron workers, CNC lasers, pipe benders, or similar fabrication equipment is a plus. Welding experience is a plus. Forklift experience preferred. Ability to use basic hand and power tools. Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team. Dependable attendance and willingness to learn multiple machines. Must be able to work safely in a manufacturing environment. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and work on your feet for extended periods. Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, and perform repetitive movements. Ability to safely lift and move materials as required for the position. Ability to work around machinery, metal materials, noise, and other typical manufacturing conditions. This position works in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment . Employees must be able to stand for extended periods, perform repetitive movements, bend, stoop, reach, push and pull, and lift up to 75 lbs as needed. What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who is reliable, safety-minded, willing to learn, and comfortable working with their hands. Experience is helpful, but someone with a strong mechanical background and the willingness to learn the different equipment in our Fabrication Department may also be a good fit.
Pay:
$20.00 - $24.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
