Job Description

Electrical/Mechanical Assembly - Exceptional Opportunity (Houston, TX) Designs, manufactures, tests and supports switchboards, power panels, alarm systems, automation systems and steering systems to the marine industry. Currently we are looking for an electrical/mechanical assembler for switchboards, bus bar bending, alarm and steering assemblies, quality assurance and potential supervisory and managerial roles in the future. You will be responsible for the building and growth of the production department. You will work close with the owners of the company and engineering in all aspects of the business, with the main focus on growing the production department, inventory, and other related operational duties. This is an excellent opportunity to be involved in growing a business to the next level that has the benefits of a parent company's support and expertise. This is a long-term position expected to grow with the company.
Required:
Must have experience building and wiring switchboards including bending bus bar, power cabinet assembly and testing. Wiring of electrical/mechanical products and assemblies per AutoCAD drawings and/or verbal instructions. Experience switchboards, mechanical assemblies, wiring, machine shop work, fabrication and inventory a plus. Experience with electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic related tools required for assembly and wiring. Familiarity working with calipers, micrometers, multi-meters and other electrical components. Able to lift 50lbs. Any additional production or inventory experience a plus. Forklift experience a plus. Must past background check and drug test. You will work closely with the operations in building the production department to handle up to 180 jobs a year. You will have the opportunity to work closely with engineers' and technicians to design the best technical and efficient products to meet the customer's needs. Must be organized. Must have experience in Microsoft Office products, especially excel. Must be able to read schematics and mechanical drawings generated in AutoCAD. Must be able to work with others to come up with solutions to a multitude of issues as they arise
