In this role, you will assemble, repair, test, and maintain electrical transformers and related equipment, ensuring all products meet strict quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically capable, and committed to delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities Assembly & Manufacturing Assemble transformer components and enclosures according to technical drawings Perform wiring, soldering, and electrical connections Inspect materials to ensure compliance with quality standards Testing & Quality Control Conduct electrical and mechanical testing to verify performance Troubleshoot and repair issues identified during testing Document and accurately report test results Repair & Maintenance Perform routine maintenance, including disassembly, cleaning, and reassembly of transformer components Replace defective parts and recalibrate equipment as needed Safety & Compliance Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements Maintain a clean and organized workspace Collaboration & Reporting Work closely with engineers, supervisors, and team members to meet production goals Communicate status updates and proactively identify challenges ________________________________________ Knowledge and Experience Requirements High school diploma or GED required Technical certification or associate degree in electrical or mechanical engineering (preferred) 2+ years of experience in transformer manufacturing, electrical assembly, or a related field (preferred) Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams Knowledge of transformer operations, testing procedures, and repair methods Familiarity with electrical testing tools such as multimeters and meggers Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills ________________________________________ Core Competencies Quality focus and attention to detail Problemsolving and analytical thinking Team collaboration and communication Safety awareness and compliance Reliability and accountability Adaptability in a production environment ________________________________________ Skills and Specifications Strong handson electrical and mechanical aptitude Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently Effective verbal and written communication skills Ability to work in a fastpaced manufacturing environment Strong organizational and time management skills Physical stamina to lift heavy components and remain on feet for extended periods ________________________________________ Work Conditions Manufacturing facility environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and electrical components May occasionally require overtime or weekend work to meet production demands ________________________________________ We offer a competitive benefits package that includes: 401(k) with company match Paid Time Off (PTO) Medical, dental, and vision insurance HSA, HRA, and FSA options Life and disability insurance Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Telehealth and wellness resources Additional voluntary benefit options available About Quality Electrical Systems Quality Electrical Systems is an electrical equipment manufacturer in West Jordan, UT.
