Our manufacturing site in Colonial Heights, VA is seeking dedicated Crate Assemblers to join our production team. In this active role, you will be tasked with the construction and assembly of wooden crates designed to safeguard our finished goods during transit. Core Responsibilities Construct and put together wooden shipping containers. Ensure materials are accurately measured, cut, and fastened to build sturdy crates. Utilize various manual and electric equipment such as saws, drills, nail guns, and hammers to complete tasks. Interpret assembly guides and precise measurements to ensure accuracy. Help protect our inventory by securely fastening items within their shipping containers. Verify that every finished crate meets our quality benchmarks through thorough inspection. Handle and transport materials across the facility to support efficient production flow. Keep your workstation tidy and orderly to promote a productive environment. Help maintain a safe working environment for the entire team by strictly following all safety protocols. Support the broader production team with additional tasks as required. Qualifications Prior background in carpentry, construction, manufacturing, or general assembly is a plus. Proficiency in operating standard hand and power tools. Capability to utilize a tape measure with high precision. Ability to handle the physical demands of the role, including standing, bending, and reaching for extended periods. Demonstrated reliability and a strong commitment to consistent attendance. Capacity to thrive within a high-speed manufacturing setting. Requirement to wear steel-toed footwear at all times. Shift Details Monday through Friday 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM Depending on current production requirements, there may be chances to work additional overtime hours.
