Job Description

About the Role We are seeking a skilled Metal Fabrication Specialist to join our production team. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in TIG and MIG welding to transform raw materials into high-quality components, ensuring every project meets rigorous engineering standards and contributes to our overall manufacturing success. Responsibilities Execute precise TIG and MIG welding on aluminum, steel, and stainless steel to achieve structural integrity and aesthetic excellence. Design, develop, and implement custom fixtures to streamline production workflows and improve fabrication accuracy. Interpret complex blueprints and engineering drawings to ensure finished products align perfectly with technical specifications. Drive production efficiency by proactively supporting sheet metal department operations and broader manufacturing initiatives. Maintain a high-performance environment by managing equipment setups and optimizing welding parameters to mitigate defects. Demonstrate craftsmanship by taking ownership of projects from initial layout through final inspection. Qualifications Required Skills Proven proficiency in TIG and MIG welding processes across various metal types. Ability to read and translate engineering schematics and detailed work instructions into finished goods. Experience with manual metalworking equipment and standard shop tools. Physical capability to lift up to 75 pounds and maintain productivity during extended periods of standing. Basic computer literacy for logging work and accessing digital documentation. Preferred Skills Current or previous AWS D1.1 or D17.1 welding certifications. Demonstrated history of high-precision fabrication in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. Strong problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous process improvement.
