Job Description
We bring you tomorrow's opportunity, today. Volt is immediately hiring Manufacturing Assembler in Winooski, VT. As a Manufacturing Assembler, you will: Assemble precision instruments, components, and subassemblies using work instructions and assembly drawings Read and interpret mechanical prints and bills of materials (BOMs) Perform assembly, measuring, testing, and product verification activities Conduct routine testing and inspections to ensure quality and performance standards are met Perform basic troubleshooting and minor repairs as needed Support material handling activities including receiving, storing, and moving materials Maintain production records and documentation Enter and retrieve information in ERP and manufacturing systems Follow safety, quality, and Lean Manufacturing standards Work collaboratively to meet production and quality goals This is a fulltime, contract opportunity.
Schedule:
Day Shift Only Flexible start times between 6:00 AM and 8:30 AM Flexible work schedules available, including four 9-hour days with a 4-hour Friday The ideal candidate will have:Required Skills & Qualifications:
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent 1-3 years of manufacturing, production, assembly, or industrial experience Experience reading mechanical prints and bills of materials Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications Ability to follow written work instructions and procedures Ability to work effectively in a team environment Strong attention to detail and dependabilityPreferred Skills & Qualifications:
Experience with instrument assembly, electromechanical assembly, testing, inspection, or repair Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings and blueprints Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement principles Experience with quality inspection processes and manufacturing documentation Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsPay Rate:
