Inov8v Marine Group is a multi-discipline innovator of propulsion, vessel stabilization, sonar, and underwater video technology for pleasure and commercial fishing craft. Valued by owners and captains around the world, Inov8v formed in 2022 through the consolidation of
ABT-TRAC
propulsion, stabilization, and hydraulic systems; SmartCatch underwater video imaging systems; and WESMAR propulsion, stabilization, and sonar systems. Due to growth and expansion into our new facility in Arlington, WA we are seeking qualified candidates for the position of Mechanical Assembly Technician.
Position Overview:
This position will be responsible for working with fiberglass, resin and other building materials using molds to build multiple size ship fins.
Responsibilities:
Inspect, clean, and assemble molds before beginning work. Setting up composite parts for fabrication by correctly interpreting and building from engineering drawings and spec/data sheets, planning, understanding tooling and materials, sequence of operations and techniques required for fabrication. Tape off mold areas which are not to be laminated, using cellophane, wax paper, masking tape, or special sprays containing mold-release substances. Install vacuums and feedlines. Troubleshoot errors in the infusion process and uncover any possible leaks. Properly bag parts. Mix catalysts into resins, and saturate cloth and mats with mixtures, using brushes. Pull finished parts from molds. Utilize a variety of manual hand and powered tools and equipment. Along with performing part-fitting operations that require trimming, filing, drilling, sanding and reaming. Component and Assembly Testing to high specifications and tight tolerances as well as internal QC activities Perform adhesive bonding. Repair or modify damaged or defective glass-fiber parts, checking thicknesses, densities, and contours to ensure a close fit after repair. Monitor and report inventory status. Documentation and Reporting of work performed. Effectively respond to questions from engineers and managers. Operate forklift and overhead gantry hoists.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) 1-3 years related experience and/or training. Or Equivalent combination of education and experience Machinist/Mechanic Craftsman skills required. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret instructions, technical and procedure manuals, short correspondences, and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and co-workers Aptitude to utilize creative and forward-thinking skills. Understand mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentages. Apply common sense understanding to conduct instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Meticulous, detailed, initiative-taking, and self-motivated
Computer/Technology Experience:
Proficiency with general office computer applications
Certificates/Licenses:
Operation of forklift and vehicles
Work Environment:
Varied environment including a standard shop environment. The noise level is moderate to high. Employees are regularly required to move to various locations. Frequent communication may be required.

Compensation:
Depending on experience and qualifications the hourly pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00 per hour.
