1.0 SUMMARY The Final Assembly Technician is responsible for the mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical assembly, installation, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of company products and systems. This position requires a mechanical aptitude and the ability to interpret engineering drawings, hydraulic schematics, and electrical diagrams. 2.0 DUTIES

AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform mechanical and hydraulic assembly of equipment, subassemblies, and components in accordance with engineering drawings, specifications, work instructions, and established procedures. Perform basic electrical assembly and installation, including wiring, connectors, switches, sensors, and other electrical components. Read and interpret engineering drawings, hydraulic schematics, electrical diagrams, and other technical documentation to determine proper assembly methods and sequences. Clean, prepare, align, fit, and assemble components using hand tools, power tools, fixtures, templates, and specialized assembly equipment. Assemble and install hydraulic components, including hoses, fittings, valves, cylinders, manifolds, pumps, and related components. Perform basic electrical troubleshooting and assist with identifying electrical component or wiring issues. Verify dimensions, clearances, alignment, and fit of components using precision measuring instruments and other inspection equipment. Perform functional testing of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems and document test results as required. Disassemble and reassemble equipment and components as required for inspection, troubleshooting, repair, modification, or testing. Perform other duties as assigned. 2.1 OTHER

Disassemble and inspect returned components or equipment to determine the cause of malfunction or failure. Assist in identifying root causes of equipment or component failures. Repair, rework, calibrate, and reassemble returned components as directed. Provide feedback to Engineering and Quality regarding recurring assembly, design, or component issues. 2.2 SUPERVISORY

Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on problem-solving skills. Working knowledge of mechanical assembly practices and techniques. Working knowledge of hydraulic systems and components. Basic knowledge of electrical components, wiring, and electrical assembly practices. Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, hydraulic schematics, electrical diagrams, and assembly instructions. Ability to use hand tools, power tools, measuring equipment, and other common assembly equipment. Ability to use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, and other inspection equipment. Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and hydraulic systems and identify the likely source of problems. Ability to perform basic electrical troubleshooting. Ability to assemble and prepare mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems for functional testing. Ability to work independently while also effectively coordinating with Engineering, Production, Quality, and other technicians. Ability to work safely around hydraulic pressure, mechanical equipment, electrical systems, and industrial machinery. 4.0 EDUCATION

AND QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum of two (2) years of applicable mechanical, hydraulic, industrial assembly, maintenance, or related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 5.0 TEAM

REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, and work for extended periods as required. Ability to climb into and work beneath machinery, and in confined or close-quarter areas while performing assembly, analysis, troubleshooting, and repair activities. Ability to work around moving machinery, mechanical equipment, hydraulic systems, and electrical equipment. Ability to work safely with high-pressure hydraulic systems and hydraulic fluids. May be exposed to paints, solvents, lubricants, high-pressure hydraulic fluid, noise, dust, and other typical manufacturing environments.
