!! Job Description The individual will be responsible for assembling trusses by taking pre-cut wood or lumber and placing it on a large table. The table is equipped with a laser that dictates the precise placement of the wood. The individual will piece together the truss over the table, much like solving a puzzle, and hammer in metal plates over designated areas to complete the assembly of the truss. Responsibilities Take pre-cut wood/lumber and place on large table using laser guidance for precise placement. Piece together trusses over the table, assembling them like a puzzle. Hammer in metal plates over designated areas to assemble trusses. Pull lumber orders manually with pallet jacks. Load lumber onto conveyor systems. Operate, load, and offload machinery. Conduct construction assembly using staple guns, hammers, and brackets for wood trusses. Stage completed work in the yard ready for forklifts. Essential Skills Minimum of 6 months of experience in truss building. Ability to speak and understand English. Ability to read basic measurements using a standard tape measure. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in warehouse and construction environments. Proficient in using hand tools and power tools. Must have a 22 oz hammer (preferably wood for ease on hands). Possession of rain gear and appropriate boots (leather, covering the ankle, non-steel toe). Why Work Here? Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
