RUBBER AND PLASTICS FABRICATOR

- $24.85 - $45.79 PER HOUR Manufactures and repairs rubber components; installs and repairs fiberglass materials; and encapsulates electrical plugs and connectors. Produces rubber and plastic protective covers for submarine main shafts using presses, injection molding equipment, curing ovens, grinders, and hand and power tools. Designs and builds wood and foam molds for fiberglass parts. Applies fiberglass cloth, woven roving, or mat with epoxy or polyester resins and hardeners to create durable composite components. Fabricates custom acrylic enclosures and boxes by measuring, cutting, fitting, and bonding acrylic panels with specialized adhesives; uses hand and power tools to produce durable, finished assemblies.
