Job Title:

Assembler Job Description This role focuses on precision aerospace assembly and sheet metal work, including deburring, riveting, and countersinking of metal and titanium components. You will use a variety of hand tools and measuring instruments to perform complex assemblies while following detailed work instructions and blueprints. The position requires strong mechanical aptitude, effective communication, and the ability to work independently within a clean, organized manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Perform aerospace assembly tasks on sheet metal and titanium components, ensuring all work meets quality and safety standards. Carry out deburring operations on metal parts to remove sharp edges and imperfections while maintaining dimensional accuracy. Execute riveting and countersinking operations, including the use of manual mills for countersinking when required. Read, interpret, and follow detailed work instructions and blueprints to complete complex assemblies correctly and efficiently. Use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, shim gauges, and height gauges to verify part dimensions and tolerances. Operate hand tools safely and effectively for assembly, finishing, and adjustment of components. Work independently as a proficient operator, completing assigned tasks and complex assemblies with minimal supervision. Assist with training and troubleshooting within assigned cells, supporting team members and contributing to continuous improvement. Maintain focus and alertness while performing repetitive tasks to ensure consistent quality and productivity. Communicate clearly and professionally with coworkers and supervisors to coordinate work and resolve issues. Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and quality standards to maintain a safe and compliant work area. Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of debris to support efficient production and high-quality output. Use basic computer skills to access work instructions, record production data, and complete required documentation. Demonstrate punctuality, politeness, and respect toward coworkers, contributing to a positive team environment. Essential Skills Prior aerospace assembly experience with a focus on precision and quality. Hands-on sheet metal experience, including forming, fitting, and assembling metal components. Proficiency in countersinking operations, with a strong plus for experience using a manual mill to perform countersinking. Ability to use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, shim gauges, and height gauges to verify dimensions and tolerances. Prior experience using a variety of hand tools in a manufacturing or assembly environment. Effective communication skills for coordinating work and collaborating with team members. Ability to read and understand work instructions, technical drawings, and blueprints. Mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot basic assembly issues. Ability to stay focused and alert while performing repetitive tasks. Punctual, polite, and respectful behavior in a team setting. Basic computer skills for accessing documentation and entering production information. Capability to work independently as a proficient operator and perform complex assemblies. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in aerospace manufacturing or similar high-precision production environments. Familiarity with deburring techniques for metal and titanium components. Work Environment The role is based in a very clean and organized aerospace manufacturing facility with approximately 32 employees, providing a focused yet collaborative atmosphere. Work is performed on a day shift schedule from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., primarily involving sheet metal, deburring, and aerospace assembly tasks. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $27.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
