About the Role In this role, you will be responsible for assembling, wiring, and testing industrial control panels used across Columbia's product lines. This is a hands-on role that involves working from schematics, performing precise panel layouts, pulling wire, and using hand and power tools to complete custom builds. You will also assist with labeling, documentation, and continuous improvement efforts in the panel shop. If you enjoy technical assembly work, are comfortable reading electrical drawings, and take pride in working safely and accurately, this is a great opportunity to join a steady, well-equipped operation. What You'll Do Build control panels and components from electrical and layout prints Perform panel layout work including drilling, cutting, and wire routing Wire and assemble complex, multi-door panel systems (HLs, SP, MBS, FLs, VFDs) Identify and resolve issues with BOMs and drawings independently Communicate discrepancies with Electrical Engineering and internal teams Identify and report material or parts issues Use hand and power tools proficiently Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment What You Bring High School Diploma or GED required 2-3+ years of electrical or panel assembly experience preferred Strong ability to read electrical schematics and prints Knowledge of ANSI/ISO, IEC, UL, CSA, and NEC standards Experience wiring and terminating panels with minimal supervision Ability to identify components from BOMs Proficient with hand and power tools Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects
