Chicago Fittings, operating as the Beloit, Wisconsin location of A.Y. McDonald Manufacturing, is a leading manufacturer of natural gas and propane fittings and risers. SPECIFIC JOB FUNCTIONS
Operation of Denison Presses. Operation of E-coat system. Assemble, align, and adjust fabricated parts, components, or units according to specifications and following manufacturing procedures. Use hand tools, power tools and other manufacturing assembly line equipment to assemble units. Inspection of product including visual, test and calibrating parts and mechanisms to ensure all components meet tolerances, product specifications and quality standards. Repair or refit parts or units that fail tests or tolerance levels. Keep accurate daily time and production records and enter data as required. Packing and Packaging of product. Print labels and look up locations of parts. Read travelers and associate/compare with part box labels. Cleaning/De-burring of product. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace. Other machine operations.QUALIFICATIONS
General assembly operations. General inspection practices. Ability to read blueprints, part prints. Ability to use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometer, tape measure, etc. Overall quality systems. Ability to follow SOPs and GMPs Calibration and functional testing General documentation practices. Basic machine operation. Visual inspection. Basic computer knowledge.LANGUAGE SKILLS
Understand, communicate, comprehend, and follow oral and written instructions. EDUCATION and/orEXPERIENCE 0-1
year of experience in a manufacturing environment with responsibility for assembling and inspecting product; or any combination of education, training, and experience which provides equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities.MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, solve simple equations and calculate percentages. Ability to convert fractions in increments of 1/16 and convert to decimal number. Ability to use a calculator.REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.PHYSICAL DEMANDS
