Job Description

Fabrication Technician Job Summary MGA Research is an engineering services company with over 40 years of experience providing testing services and test equipment for global customers. Our facility in Burlington, Wisconsin specializes in automotive and lab testing including full vehicle crash testing. Customers include major automotive and aerospace companies along with their suppliers to bolster safety and innovation within these industries. MGA aims to create value for our customers and our employees. We are currently seeking career-oriented and motivated individuals to join our team as a full-time Entry Level Fabricator Technician.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
General fabrication of steel fixtures and structurally reinforcing vehicle bodies Work with engineers and customers to design and fabricate custom test setups and fixtures to use in automotive and aerospace test environments Machine and cut components, then weld and fixture assemblies Read blue-prints and designs to construct the fixtures Build "one-off" assemblies from scratch Document and verify dimensional checks of the fixtures using CMM or other measurement tools to ensure precision and accuracy Assist with equipment installation and overall facility maintenance
Requirements & Skills:
Experience in MIG welding (Experience with SMAW welding is nice to have) Experience using hand tools and power tools such as bandsaws, grinders, drills Experience with general computer operation and ability to learn new software Ability to learn and operate lift equipment Ability to self-start and take on responsibility Keen attention to detail, coupled with a strong ability to identify errors Quality and safety mindset Authorized to work in the United States High school diploma or equivalent Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to lift 50 lbs. and stand for 8 hours
