6:00am- 2:00pm (Monday
- Friday, Overtime on Saturday) Reached a dead end at your current job?
Assembler Responsibilities:
- Operate tagging/label gun while either sitting or standing to tag each piece of lumber with a sticky tag/label for identification purposes
- Load pieces of cut lumber into crates
- Use bander (manual or automatic) band the cut lumber into bundles
- Operate nail gun to assist in the assembly of fences
- Pick up bundles of lumber that weigh between 10-20lbs and place them in the stacker machine
- Operate a hand pallet jack to move pallets of wood around the production area
- Assist with supplying or holding tools and materials
- Cut and stack lumber in the Mill Department
- Sort lumber by quality, working outdoors
- Keep work area clean and orderly
- Examine finished product to verify conformance to quality standards
- Count finished products to determine if product orders are complete Requirements for
Assembler:
- Basic math skills and able to read a ruler
- Previous experience with machine operation, nail guns or blueprints preferred
- Able to stand for the entire shift
- Able to lift 10-20lbs frequently, and 50lbs occasionally
- Able to bend, squat, reach, push, pull and climb throughout the shift
- Able to use hand, wrist and/or arms repetitively
- Good hand-eye coordination
- Safety-conscious
