We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Assembler to join our team in a high-mix, low-volume plastics manufacturing environment. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their work and can adapt quickly to different assembly tasks and part configurations. You'll be assembling a wide range of custom plastic parts, components, and subassemblies to meet precise customer requirements and quality standards.
Essential Functions:
Assemble plastic components and subassemblies using hand tools, adhesives, fasteners, and fixtures according to work instructions and drawings. Perform manual and semi-automated assembly tasks, including fitting, deburring, drilling, tapping, or bonding. Follow detailed work instructions, job travelers, or blueprints for each assembly. Inspect work visually and dimensionally to ensure parts meet quality specifications. Identify and report defective materials or non-conforming parts. Handle frequent job changeovers as part of short-run, custom production. Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used. Keep workstation clean, organized, and safe according to 5S and safety guidelines. Communicate with leads, machinists, and quality personnel to ensure smooth workflow. #BB2
