Plant Manager Posted on May 29, 2025 by JMJ Phillip We are seeking a hands-on, process-driven Plant Manager to lead manufacturing operations with a focus on deep technical engagement and floor-level process optimization. This role is designed for a proven leader who thrives in a fast-paced production environment and understands the intricacies of line operations—not just from a high-level management perspective, but through direct, practical experience. The ideal candidate will be actively involved in daily operations, equipped to make data-informed decisions, and capable of driving continuous improvement through both strategy and action. Position Responsibilities Operational Oversight Lead and manage all aspects of daily plant operations including production, quality, maintenance, logistics, and safety Drive performance against key metrics including throughput, yield, efficiency, and downtime reduction Ensure proper staffing, training, and engagement of line-level employees to meet operational objectives Process Optimization Identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements across production lines Work closely with engineering and technical teams to understand and refine technical processes Apply Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies to reduce waste and enhance productivity Leadership & Team Development Develop a high-performing, hands-on team culture that values accountability, transparency, and continuous learning Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to line supervisors and shift leaders Support cross-functional collaboration with engineering, quality, and supply chain functions Strategic Execution & Reporting Translate business goals into actionable plant strategies and measurable outcomes Prepare and present operational reports and performance updates to executive leadership Participate in budget planning and ensure cost control initiatives align with financial targets Prerequisites Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Management, or a related field 10+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing operations, with at least 5 years in plant leadership Demonstrated success managing line-level operations and implementing process improvements Strong knowledge of manufacturing systems, metrics, and continuous improvement tools Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities Comfortable operating in a lean organizational structure with minimal layers of support Certifications (Preferred, but not Required) Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt), Certified Manufacturing Engineer (CMfgE), PMP What the Role Offers Competitive base salary: $180,000 - $250,000 25% permanent placement fee High-impact leadership role with executive visibility and influence Opportunity to lead hands-on initiatives and drive transformation at the plant level Strong support from corporate leadership for continuous improvement initiatives A culture that values direct engagement, technical expertise, and operational excellence Why Trinity?
