We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Injection Molding Manager to lead our molding department towards continued safety mind-set culture, excellence, and efficiency. This excellent Molding Manager will be responsible for managing and coordinating the activities of the Molding department and will pride themselves on their safety mindset, excellent leadership, ability to foster teamwork and continued improvement. Work closely with EHS&S Department to provide a safe work environment for all Molding personnel, including administration of effective safety training programs established for departmental employees to include JSA's and/or risk assessments. Ensure the company's Quality Vision Policy is understood and adhered to by all personnel within the department to include SQF, HACCP and GMP's. Direct and lead all Molding department personnel to accomplish Corporate, Divisional and Plant goals and objectives for the Molding department Lead and direct continuous improvement initiatives for safety, quality, productivity, and additional variables affecting departmental and plant performance. Direct supervisors in relation to production volumes, costs, quality and meeting production schedules and delivery dates. Oversee direct labor, staffing requirements, efficiencies and scrap. Supervise technical and production staff; select, train, develop and monitor performance. Plan and establish needed quality, personnel development, and productivity training within the department. Work with internal and external customers to ensure their satisfaction and achieve plant and corporate objectives. Work with internal and external resources to deliver new projects on time and on budget. Lead, manage and direct cost reduction programs within the department. Develop departmental expense and capital budgets and manage spending relative to financial commitments. Demonstrate commitment to ISO and effectively communicate with employees regarding departmental procedure and job responsibilities. Ability to demonstrate & foster an environment where UFAA behaviors flourish (united, focused, accountable, agile). Willingness to take charge, offer direction, accept feedback and adapt as needed. Must be reliable, responsible and personally accountable for results. Ability to foster teamwork, continuous improvement and create a work environment where safety is a core value. Continually inspect mold, machine and related equipment to ensure that it achieves its greatest efficiency and quality of parts. Work closely with Quality Assurance personnel to correct quality issues. Inform Maintenance Department of any issues with machinery or related equipment. Coordinate mold changes and repairs with Production Scheduling.Competency Requirements:
