Job Description

Position Summary The Aerospace Production Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing all manufacturing and production activities within an aerospace production environment. This role ensures that aerospace components, assemblies, and finished products are manufactured safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with all customers, regulatory, and quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities Production Management:
Lead daily manufacturing operations, develop and execute production schedules to meet customer delivery commitments and business objectives, monitor performance, allocate resources for capacity utilization and workflow efficiency, and resolve bottlenecks. Ensure proper allocation of equipment and materials to meet production demands
Operational Excellence:
Drive Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives. Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), including: On-Time Delivery (OTD) First Pass Yield (FPY) Scrap and Rework Rates Labor Efficiency Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) Implement process impartments to increase productivity, reduce waste and enhance quality
Quality & Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure compliance with AS9100, FAA, EASA, customer, and company requirements. Partner with QA team to address nonconformance, CA, and audit findings. Support internal, customer, and regulatory audits
Team Leadership:
Manage, coach, and develop supervisors and production personnel. Promote a culture of quality and accountability throughout the production organization
Supply Chain & Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Coordinate with engineering, quality, supply chain, and program management teams.
Safety & Environmental Compliance:
Promote a strong safety culture through training, communication, and accountability. Ensure compliance with all OSHA, environmental, and company safety requirements Investigate and address safety incidents and implement preventive measures. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering or a related field; 7+ years manufacturing experience in aerospace or similar regulated industries; 3+ years leadership experience; proficiency with ERP/MRP systems, strong knowledge of aerospace manufacturing processes, production planning, and quality system. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree, Lean/Six Sigma certification, aerospace structures, machining, composites, or aviation experience. experience with CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, composites, assembly, or aerospace structures. Knowledge of FAA regulation and aerospace customer requirements Key Competencies Leadership, Capacity and Production Planning, Continuous Improvement, Quality Management, Strategic Thinking, Risk Management, Root Cause Analysis, and Cross-Functional Collaboration. Working Conditions Primarily based in a manufacturing environment with regular exposure to production areas. May require occasional travel to customer, supplier, or company sites. Ability to work flexible hours as needed to support production schedules and operational requirements. Compensation Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications. Pay:
$120,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
