Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Assistant Plant Operations Manager to join our manufacturing team. In this vital role, you will support the overall management of plant operations, ensuring that production processes run smoothly, efficiently, and safely. Your leadership will help optimize mechanical systems, oversee maintenance activities, and ensure compliance with safety regulations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a high-performing facility dedicated to excellence in industrial manufacturing.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Implement production schedules that the Plant Operations Manager has put into motion. Ensure that safety and environmental standards are met. A positive safety culture on the floor is a MUST. Supervise the use of machinery and equipment used in the manufacturing processes. Oversee the use of resources and materials in production processes to ensure efficient use of resources and compliance with environmental regulations. Mentors and leads production associates. Ensures quality products are produced and department metrics are produced. Effectively communicates daily/weekly schedules, goals, quality issues/concerns to production associates.
Qualifications:
Bilingual a PLUS Candidate must have a minimum of 5 years' experience in managing or supervising employees in a manufacturing environment. Strong verbal and written communication and mechanical skills. Strong leadership and managerial attributes. Excellent organizational, time-management, and leadership skills. Strong understanding of environmental and health and safety regulations. Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and computer technology. Proven experience leading and participating in teams in a collaborative environment. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, detailed and production-oriented environment. Ability to meet physical demands in a manufacturing environment. Requires the employee to stand for long periods of time, walk, frequent lifting of material up to 50 pounds and frequent twisting, turning, reaching, pushing and pulling use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs, balance; stoop, kneel or crouch.
Hours:
8:00am - 5:00pm, Monday through Friday Ability to occasionally work overtime, which may include Saturdays.
Pay:
$26.00 - $29.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
