Position Summary:
As our Production Manager you will be responsible for the overall management of all production departments and all activities in the factory to ensure acceptable safety, housekeeping, quality, productivity, employee conduct, and performance criteria are achieved. Ensure that a continuous improvement methodology is applied throughout the scope of responsibility.Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Finance or related field preferred 5 or more years of Management experience in manufacturing/assembly environment 5 or more years of leadership experience with direct reports Strong communication and organizational skills to support process, manufacturing, and design engineering functions Excellent written and verbal communications with the ability to share knowledge at appropriate levels of the organization Our core values - Accountability , Collaboration , and Empowerment (ACE) - are the foundation of how we operate and drive success. goals Collaborate with the Director to establish a strategy that impacts Revenue & EBITDA by being focused on efficient scheduling and planning, Improved OTD & Yields, contract review, Reduction / Elimination of RMA's & CAR's, reduced Inventory Adjustments & reduced labor variance and material scrap Communicate KPI's regularly to your team and other departments (make visible) Leading the strategic direction of the production team Maintain a safe work environment throughout the production operations Maintain excellent employee relations, keeping staff regularly informed of changes, engaged to drive low turnover - Identify and execute staff development plans Mentor and lead Production Supervisors and Production Leads, and other direct reports to grow and develop a highly effective team of professional leaders Assist with personnel decisions including hiring, terminations, wage decisions, and promotions Supervise, train and develop the Production team Maintain the organization of the production floor, including WIP, Safety, and 5S Meet customer delivery and quality commitments and be responsive to customer needs MaintainAS9100, ISO
9001, and ITAR standards for the facility Empower the production workforce to solve issues through the Tiered meeting structure Work with all Production support functions to resolve production related issues Work with the Director of Manufacturing Operations and with Supply Chain, Engineering, Customer Service, and Sales to ensure all production orders are properly executed, from receiving parts to shipping Partner with management, engineering, sales, employees, vendors, and customers to have a positive impact on the organization Work closely with purchasing, and engineering departments to maintain schedules and implement changes and revisions in operational procedures Set a strategy within your team to achieve or exceed the desired results Review production methods, workstations, practices, and procedures to improve the department's efficiency Define, select and allocate resources (people, materials and machinery) to meet objectives Lead and promote Continuous Improvement events and activities Identify knowledge gaps and provide/propose required training to improve performance Define, modify, or improve product flow to improve efficiency and reduce waste Focuses on driving Safety, quality, and productivitySystems You'll Use:
