A Manufacturing Project Manager maintains relations between the manufacturing company and the clients to which it sells and distributes. They manage a variety of accounts and projects; they also assess new build plans, assess various procedures in the production process, and maintain an open line of communication with vendors and clients. The project manager works with the company's customers directly to assess and help meet their needs. In addition, the project manager has responsibilities in the direct manufacturing facility. They ensure that safety guidelines are met and any potential risks are eliminated.

  • Project Manager - Medical Device and Pharmaceutical Operations
  • Location:
    Petaluma, CA
  • Employment Type:
    Contract-to-Hire
  • Schedule:
    Full-time, standard business hours
  • Work Arrangement:
    Onsite preferred; candidates able to work onsite 2-3 days per week may be considered
  • Pay Rate:
    $65-$80 per hour, depending on experience
  • A growing medical device and pharmaceutical organization is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead multiple projects across Manufacturing, Engineering, R D, Quality, and drug development. This person must be a proactive project leader who can identify why work is falling behind, remove obstacles, coordinate resources, and hold teams accountable for meeting deadlines.
  • What You'll Do
  • + Manage multiple cross-functional projects simultaneously.
+ Create and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, dependencies, and Gantt charts. + Track deliverables and hold project owners accountable for deadlines. + Investigate delays and identify resource constraints, supply issues, and other blockers. + Partner with department leaders to develop recovery plans and redirect resources when needed. + Coordinate meetings and track decisions, action items, and owners. + Identify project risks and escalate concerns before they affect major deadlines. + Provide clear project updates to leadership. + Support executive and board-level project reporting. + Help improve project-management processes as the organization grows.
  • What You'll Bring
  • + 5+ years of project management experience.
+ Experience managing complex, cross-functional projects. + Proven ability to manage multiple projects or workstreams simultaneously. + Strong experience creating and maintaining project schedules and Gantt charts. + Ability to drive accountability and uncover the underlying causes of delays. + Strong communication, organization, stakeholder-management, and problem-solving skills. + Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. + Medical device, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or regulated-manufacturing experience is strongly preferred. + Experience partnering with Manufacturing, Engineering, R D, Quality, or drug-development teams is preferred. This position may convert to a regular full-time role based on performance, business needs, and long-term fit. Conversion is not guaranteed.
