Build Manufacturing - 3.4 Commerce City, CO Job Details $103,000 - $154,000 an hour 20 hours ago Qualifications Team development Quality standards in production Managing manufacturing teams Quality improvement programs in engineering Manufacturing company experience Senior leadership Full Job Description Step into the flow: a day leading Oribi's Industrial & Specialty Products value stream You begin your morning on the shop floor, checking yesterday's OEE and scrap trends, walking the cells, and engaging with production supervisors on safety and throughput. By mid-day, you're aligning manufacturing engineering, quality, and supply chain on a rapid changeover plan for a diverse queue of customer orders. In the afternoon, you're reviewing the value stream P&L, fine-tuning inventory and labor plans, and closing the day by coaching the team through a root-cause/countermeasure session. That's a typical day for the senior operational leader who owns outcomes across this high-mix, lower-volume machining environment.

Your mandate Own and execute the strategic roadmap to operate and grow the Industrial & Specialty Products value stream at Oribi while running day-to-day production, maintenance, quality, and logistics to meet on-time delivery. Build and enforce a zero-incident culture; drive OSHA, FDA, and environmental compliance. Recruit, develop, and mentor a high-performing team across production, quality, supply chain, and engineering; set clear expectations and foster accountability. Champion Lean (Value Stream Analysis, Rapid Improvement Events, SMED, 5S) to eliminate waste and improve flow in a high-mix, low-volume setting. Track and improve OEE, productivity, scrap, and labor efficiency using Basic Problem Solving and Root Cause/Countermeasure methods. Own the value stream budget and P&L; implement cost controls and manage labor, overhead, and operating expenses to meet financial targets. Direct production scheduling and material forecasting to ensure availability, optimize inventory, and support reliable on-time delivery. Partner with Sourcing/Supply Chain, Technical, Quality, and Commercial teams to align capabilities with customer requirements and emerging industrial demand. Optimize established manufacturing processes, automation strategies, and quality systems to achieve high yield and cost efficiency. Continuously scan and introduce emerging machining technologies to maintain a competitive edge. What you bring BS/MS in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or related discipline—or equivalent experience. 5+ years managing a machine shop; composites exposure is a plus. 3+ years in a leadership role within a sophisticated manufacturing environment. Experience leading high-mix, low-volume operations and/or diverse product portfolios preferred. Strong command of machining processes, methods, equipment, and tools. Proven Lean production experience. Exceptional leadership, team-building, and talent development skills. Advanced problem-solving and critical thinking abilities. Knowledge of
