Below are the responsibilities of an MPM. This role in particular is seeking a candidate with in depth knowledge of structures and mechanisms design to partner with Commercial Civil Space engineering on new and creative pursuits. This individual is expected to steer new development efforts towards manufacturing readiness in the Denver Mechanical Manufacturing Center (MMC) and baseline credible efforts leveraging combined technical and business knowledge. Capture & Proposal- ROM/BOE generation for Operations scope in proposals
- Ensure Make/Buy process adherence for Program deviations & support SSB with Operations inputs
- Review Team support & Operations input
INAR/IRB/EPP
- Flow Program LRP to PP&C for Operations Planning
- Support facilities and capital planning need for Operations ATP to CDR
- Provide PDR/CDR inputs for Operations scope
- Drive FEA strategy & ALM/BOM creation for long lead procurements
- Validate Program baseline/IMS & budgets are achievable for Operations
- Coordinate with Operations on strategy & execution plans Engineering
- Coordinate Operations engagement on
IRAD/CRAD
initiatives- Ensure DFx engagement & implementation through Engineering & Production Engineering
- Drive engineering release for critical hardware
- Drive issue resolution velocity with Engineering during supply chain, production & test phases Supply Chain
- Drive front end Supply Chain planning kickoff & strategy
- Understand critical path parts in Supply Chain & work with PMM's to expedite
- Develop workaround and risk mitigation plans as needed
- Engage in dock to stock process for critical path piece parts Production
- Ensure authority to proceed is flown to Production inclusive of scope, milestone dates & budget
- Manage Operations Leads across Space Operations
- Project manage cost/schedule execution of products
- Lead enterprise priority & deconflicts within Operations ATLS
- Ensure authority to proceed in flown to ATLS inclusive of scope, milestone dates & budget
- Manage Operations Leads across Space Operations
- Project manage cost/schedule execution of products
- Lead enterprise priority & deconflicts within Operations AI&T
- Familiar with Program final integration schedule for upstream delivery needs out of Operations
- Facilitate late to need mitigation planning & hardware returns to Operations Program
- Drive Program interests across Operations throughout the program lifecycle
- Primary interface and glue between LOB, Program and Operations Leadership
- Operations representative at PMR, Customer Meetings & Review Boards
Basic Qualifications:
- Experience with production operations and driving hardware execution
- Experience designing or building structures and/or mechanisms
- Bachelors degree from an accredited University
- US Citizen
Desired Skills:
- Production Operations or engineering supervisory or management experience
- Knowledge of MRP processes
- ERP knowledge (i.e. SAP or equivalent)
- Cost management/EVM knowledge

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $122,900- $216,660.
