Job Description
The Project Manager I is an intermediate-level role responsible for discovery, estimating, and project management of custom client projects. Projects relate to prototype development, limited production cast urethane, and appearance models across a range of industries. Project Managers are detail oriented, resourceful problem solvers who can learn complex product information, recommend practical solutions, and build strong customer relationships. Take inbound phone calls from customers requesting quotes or placing orders Communicate with customers to learn the nature of their project requirements and quote recommended services/processes/materials Follow up on quotes and convert to orders Proactively process orders and identify & provide solutions to project issues and relay them to appropriate stakeholders in a timely manner Provide top-notch customer service Managed approved suppliers as required by the project Provide backup project support when a team member is out of the office As needed, help physically process/finish/ship orders Willingness to learn new machines, processes, materials, & approaches Ability to travel to client sites for project meetings & support Outside Sales Observe all Safety and Quality Procedures. Wear all the required PPE (gloves, lab coats, etc.). Weekend availability may be required based on business needs, with advance notice where practicable. Perform other related duties as assigned, consistent with the scope and level of the role. Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Two to four years of experience in additive manufacturing environment Strong phone presence with excellent communication skills Disciplined work ethic with sharp attention to detail Ability to follow direction, execute tasks promptly, and use sound judgment when escalating questions, risks, or safety concerns. Demonstrates initiative, adaptability, and a solutions-oriented approach to solving problems in a fast-paced environment. Understands business-to-business selling approach Extensive knowledge of 3D printing systems and traditional fabrication methods Must demonstrate the ability to learn new techniques. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Where applicable, employment may be subject to verification of eligibility to access export-controlled information or work under customer or government contract requirements. Ability to delicately finish small parts using various tools Advanced math and computer skills Expert understanding of technical drawings Ability to perform essential physical functions of the role, which may include lifting up to 50 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodation.
