Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Hydroelectric Plant Manager to lead the operations and maintenance of a high-capacity hydroelectric facility. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all aspects of plant performance, ensuring optimal energy production, safety, and environmental compliance. Your leadership will drive continuous improvement initiatives, coordinate with technical teams, and uphold the highest standards of operational excellence. Duties Oversee daily plant operations, ensuring efficient and reliable electricity generation from hydro resources Manage maintenance schedules, including inspections, repairs, and upgrades of turbines, generators, and control systems Supervise a team of technical staff, operators, and contractors to promote safety and operational excellence Monitor plant performance metrics and implement strategies to maximize output while minimizing downtime Ensure compliance with environmental regulations related to water treatment, wastewater management, and ecological impact Coordinate with external agencies for water treatment processes, pipeline integrity checks, and regulatory reporting Lead incident investigations, emergency response planning, and safety training programs for all personnel Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in heavy equipment operation and maintenance Proficiency in water treatment processes and wastewater treatment management within hydroelectric facilities Knowledge of pipeline systems used in water conveyance and associated infrastructure Familiarity with oil & gas industry standards as they relate to fluid handling and equipment lubrication Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using appropriate equipment and techniques Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster a safety-first culture Effective communication skills for collaboration with regulatory agencies, stakeholders, and team members Join us in harnessing renewable energy through innovative hydroelectric solutions!
