$105,000 - $155,000 About the Role We are seeking an experienced Materials Manager to lead all material planning, purchasing, inventory control, production scheduling, and warehouse operations within a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment. This is a leadership role responsible for ensuring the efficient flow of materials throughout the manufacturing process while maintaining optimal inventory levels, controlling costs, and supporting on-time production. Only candidates with Aerospace Manufacturing experience will be considered.

Key Responsibilities Lead and manage Purchasing, Production Control, Shipping & Receiving, and Inventory Control operations. Develop and implement strategies for the efficient movement of materials throughout the manufacturing process. Oversee purchasing activities to ensure the best pricing, quality, and delivery performance. Review supplier pricing, availability, delivery schedules, and market trends to support purchasing decisions. Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues related to quality, pricing, or delivery. Manage inventory control processes including cycle counts, physical inventories, and inventory accuracy. Analyze inventory trends and implement corrective actions to maintain optimal inventory levels. Oversee warehouse operations, shipping, receiving, and material storage. Manage surplus inventory and scrap material disposition. Monitor purchase orders and supplier contracts to ensure compliance with company policies. Develop departmental procedures that improve workflow, efficiency, and operational performance. Prepare reports, KPIs, and operational metrics to support business decisions. Purchase complex or high-value materials when required. Collaborate closely with Operations, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to support production schedules. Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or a related field. Minimum 5 years of management experience in Purchasing, Materials Management, Production Planning, or Inventory Control within a manufacturing environment . Mandatory experience in Aerospace Manufacturing. Experience managing purchasing, planning, scheduling, inventory, and warehouse functions. Strong leadership experience managing cross-functional teams. Experience with ERP/MRP systems. Epicor ERP experience is highly preferred. Knowledge & Skills Strong understanding of: Purchasing principles and best practices Inventory control and warehouse management Production planning and scheduling Manufacturing operations and material flow Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to interpret inventory and purchasing data to make operational decisions. Strong negotiation and supplier management skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop teams. Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office. Preferred Qualifications Experience using Epicor ERP .
