Job Description
Plant Manager Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Plant Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a manufacturing, mining, or aggregate production facility. This position will be responsible for leading production, maintenance, safety, environmental compliance, equipment management, and personnel while ensuring operational efficiency, product quality, and cost effectiveness. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with experience managing industrial operations, a commitment to safety, and a solid understanding of production equipment and processes. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the overall day-to-day operations of an industrial, mining, or aggregate production facility. Oversee production, quarry or site development, crushing, screening, material handling, maintenance, and mobile equipment operations. Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and applicable government regulations. Manage environmental compliance and support positive relationships with employees, contractors, regulatory agencies, and the surrounding community. Coordinate and supervise employees across multiple shifts to ensure efficient and safe production. Monitor production performance, product quality, operating costs, and productivity to meet business objectives. Oversee the acquisition, installation, maintenance, operation, and storage of plant and mobile equipment. Develop and implement operational procedures and continuous improvement initiatives. Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to employees while maintaining high standards of accountability and performance. Manage subcontractors and outside service providers as needed. Make operational decisions in accordance with established policies, procedures, and business objectives. Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and increase production. Ensure production activities consistently meet quality and customer requirements. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Operations, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. 7+ years of experience in plant, mining, aggregate, manufacturing, or industrial operations management. Previous experience managing an aggregate, mining, manufacturing, or similar production facility preferred. Strong knowledge of industrial production processes and equipment. Working knowledge of applicable safety regulations and a demonstrated commitment to workplace safety. Experience managing multiple shifts and large teams. Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced industrial environment. Strong understanding of production costs, quality control, maintenance, and operational efficiency. Ability to work effectively with employees, contractors, management, and regulatory agencies.
Pay:
$90,000.00 - $140,000.00 per yearBenefits:
