Advanced Manufacturing is growing rapidly and is searching for experienced candidates for the position of Plant Manager. The Plant Manager is responsible for the overall leadership and performance of the manufacturing facility. This position oversees daily operations, production, safety, quality, maintenance, materials, workforce management, and financial performance. The ideal candidate is a hands-on, results-driven manufacturing leader who can balance strategic planning with day-to-day operational leadership. The Plant Manager will work closely with supervisors, managers, employees, and executive leadership to improve productivity, control costs, maintain high safety and quality standards, and support the company's continued growth. Required Qualifications 3-5 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, such as Plant Manager, Operations Manager, General Manager, or Production Manager. Demonstrated experience managing production, safety, quality, maintenance, and workforce performance. Experience managing budgets, operating costs, labor, and productivity. Strong problem-solving, decision-making, communication, and leadership skills. Ability to work effectively in a hands-on, fast-paced manufacturing environment. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in business, Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field; equivalent manufacturing or leadership experience may be considered. Experience in plastic injection molding or a similar manufacturing environment. Experience with tooling, tooling management, or manufacturing tooling processes. Experience with automation, robotics, or automated manufacturing systems, including implementation or improvement initiatives. Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methods. Experience with ERP/MRP systems and manufacturing performance metrics. Experience managing capital projects, equipment improvements, automation initiatives, or other plant improvement projects. Physical Requirements Ability to regularly walk and move throughout the manufacturing facility, including production, warehouse, and maintenance areas, and stand/walk for extended periods as needed. Ability to safely navigate manufacturing environments, including stairs and areas where machinery and equipment are operating. Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). Ability to communicate effectively in a manufacturing environment where noise levels may vary. Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation. Key Responsibilities Provide overall leadership and direction for daily plant operations, ensuring production, quality, and delivery goals are achieved. Develop and implement strategies to improve productivity, efficiency, capacity, and profitability. Monitor key performance indicators, including production output, labor efficiency, scrap, downtime, OEE, quality, and on-time delivery. Lead, coach, and develop managers, supervisors, and employees while establishing clear expectations and accountability. Maintain a strong culture of safety, teamwork, communication, respect, and continuous improvement. Ensure compliance with OSHA requirements, environmental regulations, company policies, and applicable laws. Manage plant operating costs, budgets, labor, overtime, materials, and capital expenditures. Identify and implement cost-saving and process-improvement opportunities without compromising safety or quality. Ensure products meet customer specifications and quality standards; lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions when issues arise. Oversee maintenance, equipment reliability, preventive maintenance, and initiatives to reduce unplanned downtime. Coordinate with purchasing, planning, warehouse, and logistics to ensure efficient material flow and customer deliveries. Partner with Human Resources on recruiting, training, employee development, performance management, and retention. Work with executive leadership on business planning, capital projects, staffing needs, and long-term operational goals. Maintain a visible presence on the plant floor and actively participate in solving operational challenges.
