Top 3 goals year 1 Learn and fully adopt our proven process into workflow Take a percentage of small to medium sized productions off the plate off the Director of Production Learn and absorb information about all of our re-occurring events and client base Position Summary Amplified is seeking an experienced Production Manager to own the planning and execution of the steady flow of corporate, association, and local events that make up the majority of our calendar. This role is built for someone who has been in the field long enough to know the right questions to ask before a show goes sideways, and who can make the day-to-day calls without needing every decision run up the chain. The Production Manager takes a show from confirmed contract through pull sheet, staffing, sub-rentals, and client coordination, keeping it on track without hands-on oversight from the Director of Production. This is a planning-first role — most of the work happens before the show, not on it — though the flexibility to step on-site when a show calls for it is expected. This role reports to the Director of Production. Core Responsibilities Show Planning & Execution Own planning and execution for an assigned slate of shows from contract through strike Build pull sheets, staffing plans, and sub-rental decisions based on show scope Coordinate directly with clients on show details, timelines, and expectations Book and confirm labor and freelancers for assigned shows Make day-to-day production decisions independently, escalating only what genuinely requires the Director of Production's input Cross-Team Coordination Work closely with the Director of Production, Production Coordinator, and warehouse team to keep assigned shows staffed and stocked Communicate show status and needs clearly so nothing falls through the cracks between planning and execution Step in on-site when a show calls for additional oversight or support General Operations Maintain accurate show records and documentation throughout the planning process Flag recurring issues or gaps in process to the Director of Production Other tasks as needed based on customer and internal requirements Qualifications 5+ years of experience in live event production, with a track record of running shows independently Strong working knowledge of production gear, staffing needs, and show logistics — able to look at a room and know what it takes to execute Comfortable making decisions and owning outcomes without constant oversight Strong communication skills, particularly with clients and freelance labor Willing to be on-site when a show requires it, though this is primarily a planning-focused role Valid driver's license Preferred Attributes Knows the right questions to ask before a show becomes a problem Decisive and self-sufficient — comfortable being the one who makes the call Even-keeled under pressure Genuine care for doing right by clients and crew Wants to do good, consistent work more than chase the spotlight What We're Looking For Amplified hires using the Get It, Want It, Capacity to Do It framework — we're looking for someone who understands the pace and demands of live production, genuinely wants ownership over their own slate of shows, and has the experience and judgment to run them well without needing to be managed closely. Employment Details Full-time position, 40+ hours per week Standard schedule Monday - Friday, with flexibility required based on season, workload, and show demands 90-day introductory period, with a formal performance review at completion Compensation & Benefits $80,000-$85,000 annual salary, based on experience Unlimited PTO Paid holidays Medical & Dental insurance Retirement program with 3% employer match Travel opportunities within the live events industry Opportunity to grow with a leading Idaho production company
