Operations & Manufacturing Director Job Summary:
The Plant Manager Assistant provides direct administrative and operational support to the Operations & Manufacturing Director. This role helps coordinate daily plant activities, ensures communication flows effectively between departments, and assists with tracking performance, compliance, and production goals. The Assistant plays a key role in supporting efficient plant operations and helping the management team achieve targets.Responsibilities:
- Follows the Company Safety Programs and Policies
- Leads by example and is a role model of Diamond Envelope Corporation's core values.
- Provide daily administrative support to the Operations & Manufacturing Director, including scheduling meetings, preparing reports, and handling correspondence.
- Assist in monitoring production schedules, purchasing / estimating, inventory, and staffing needs to ensure operational efficiency.
- Assist with machine maintenance and preventative maintenance.
- Coordinate communication between the Operations & Manufacturing Director and department supervisors, team leads, and employees.
- Support compliance with safety regulations, company policies, training, and quality standards.
- Assist in planning and coordinating training sessions, safety meetings, and employee communications.
- Gather, review, and analyze production data to help track performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.
- Prepare presentations, reports, and updates for internal meetings and management reviews.
- Focused on cultivating talent and strengthening team performance in pursuit of operational excellence.
- Act as a point of contact for resolving minor employee or operational issues before escalation.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support the Operations & Manufacturing Director and overall plant operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in business, operations, or related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in supervision, coordination, or operations support, ideally within a manufacturing or production setting.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Bilingual / English
-Spanish a plus.- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and comfortable learning production or ERP systems.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and safety standards.
