Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Thermoforming Manager to oversee and coordinate thermoforming production operations on the first shift. This leadership role is vital in ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing performance while supporting production goals and meeting customer requirements. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving process improvements, managing production teams, and implementing lean management and Six Sigma principles to optimize operations. Duties Lead and manage the thermoforming production team, providing supervision, coaching, and training to ensure a high-performing workforce. Develop and execute production planning strategies to meet daily, weekly, and monthly manufacturing targets. Utilize production management systems to monitor, review, and improve manufacturing processes continuously. Drive process improvement initiatives using Six Sigma methodologies and lean management principles to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure safety protocols are followed and maintain a safe working environment. Review production data regularly to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed. Support the implementation of new equipment or process changes while ensuring minimal disruption to operations. Assist in maintaining compliance with safety standards, quality requirements, and company policies. Qualifications Associate's degree or higher in a related field preferred; equivalent education and experience will be considered. Proven experience in thermoforming manufacturing or a similar production environment. Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise, coach, and train team members effectively. Familiarity with production planning tools and systems. Knowledge of process improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma and lean management. Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement. Ability to review production data critically and implement necessary adjustments for optimal performance.
