Plant Manager Posted on May 12, 2025 May 12, 2025 by JMJ Phillip We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Plant Manager to oversee all operations within a manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for ensuring efficient and safe plant operations, including production planning, quality control, and staff management. The ideal candidate will have a background in metal fabrication and manufacturing, with experience managing high-performance teams and implementing operational efficiencies. Position Responsibilities Plant Operations Management Oversee the day-to-day operations of the manufacturing plant, ensuring production goals are met on time and within budget Manage plant staff, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations Production Efficiency & Process Improvement Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve product quality Implement lean manufacturing practices to optimize plant operations Manage production scheduling and inventory control to meet demand Equipment & Maintenance Management Ensure that all equipment is maintained and operating efficiently, minimizing downtime Coordinate regular maintenance schedules and resolve any mechanical issues promptly Quality Control & Compliance Ensure that all products meet the required quality standards through rigorous inspection and testing Oversee the implementation of quality control processes and procedures Maintain compliance with all industry standards and regulations ERP and Scheduling Systems Utilize ERP systems and production scheduling tools to manage inventory, track orders, and monitor production flow Analyze data and production reports to make informed decisions about scheduling, resources, and staffing Prerequisites Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, or related field (preferred) 7+ years of experience in a plant management or similar manufacturing leadership role Experience in steel enclosure fabrication, metal manufacturing, or a related field Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team Proficiency in using ERP systems and production scheduling tools Certifications (Preferred, but Not Required) Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing Certification PMP (Project Management Professional) OSHA Safety Certification What the Role Offers Competitive salary range: $130,000 - $165,000 Leadership opportunity to drive operational efficiency and growth Impactful role within a well-established manufacturing environment Professional development and career advancement opportunities Why Rantoul?
