May be available Position Overview A manufacturing company in Central Indiana is seeking an experienced Plant Manager / Factory Manager to lead overall plant operations. This position requires a hands-on leader with direct responsibility for production, staffing, safety, quality, delivery, cost control, and continuous improvement . Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience in plant, manufacturing, or operations management Proven experience with overall responsibility for manufacturing operations Strong people management and leadership experience Hands-on experience with 5S, safety, quality, and continuous improvement Experience managing production schedules, staffing, and delivery priorities Experience with cost control and productivity improvement Experience developing or maintaining SOPs, work instructions, or operational procedures Strong problem-solving and communication skills Key Responsibilities Oversee overall plant operations and day-to-day production activities Manage production staffing, scheduling, quality, safety, and delivery performance Lead, coach, and develop plant employees Drive 5S, continuous improvement, productivity, and cost reduction initiatives Develop and maintain SOPs, work instructions, safety procedures, and operational documentation Address quality issues and implement corrective actions Monitor operational performance, costs, and KPIs Support hiring, training, performance management, and employee relations Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth plant operations Preferred Qualifications Experience in metal manufacturing, industrial manufacturing, or a related production environment Experience with equipment or maintenance management Experience managing quality issues and corrective actions Experience in a hands-on manufacturing environmentBenefits
