Production Manager - Manufacturing

Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Production Manager to oversee manufacturing operations and ensure seamless production flow. In this pivotal role, you will coordinate production schedules, manage resources, and optimize manufacturing processes to meet quality standards and delivery deadlines. Your expertise in production management systems and continuous improvement methodologies will drive efficiency and operational excellence across the plant. Responsibilities Develop and maintain detailed production schedules using ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems such as SAP, aligning with supply chain demands and capacity constraints. Monitor daily manufacturing activities, ensuring adherence to production plans, quality standards, and safety protocols. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including supply chain, quality control, maintenance, and assembly to optimize workflow and resolve production issues promptly. Utilize manufacturing management systems to analyze data, identify bottlenecks, and implement process improvements based on Lean manufacturing principles. Lead continuous improvement initiatives employing Six Sigma methodologies to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality. Manage inventory levels through effective production planning and MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems to ensure timely availability of materials. Oversee team leadership activities by guiding production staff, fostering a culture of Lean management, and promoting best practices in operations management. Requirements Proven experience in production management within a manufacturing environment, with a strong understanding of supply chain management principles. Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP or similar platforms; experience with MRP modules is highly desirable. Strong skills in Excel data analysis for reporting, forecasting, and process optimization purposes. Knowledge of Lean manufacturing techniques, Six Sigma tools, and process improvement strategies. Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively while maintaining cross-functional communication across departments. Familiarity with manufacturing management systems for scheduling, inventory control, and quality assurance. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
