$130,000/ Base Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Manager to oversee production operations, facility management, and continuous improvement initiatives within a growing electronics and electromechanical manufacturing organization. This position is responsible for leading production and facilities personnel, ensuring efficient manufacturing operations, maintaining quality standards, and meeting production schedules and cost objectives. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in electronics or electromechanical manufacturing, demonstrated leadership experience, and the ability to drive operational improvements while maintaining a safe, productive, and quality-focused manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Manufacturing Operations & Production Management
- Provide overall leadership and direction for manufacturing operations, ensuring efficient production and timely shipment of products.
- Oversee daily production activities, establishing priorities and allocating resources to meet operational objectives.
- Develop and manage production schedules to ensure customer commitments are met.
- Coordinate material availability and inventory requirements to support uninterrupted production.
- Establish manufacturing performance standards and ensure compliance with customer, industry, and company requirements.
- Monitor production yields, quality metrics, cycle times, and overall manufacturing efficiency.
- Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support for complex manufacturing challenges.
- Maintain accurate point-of-use inventory and support effective material management. Continuous Improvement & Quality
- Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing processes, productivity, product quality, and operational efficiency.
- Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing costs, improving yields, and optimizing cycle times.
- Evaluate and audit existing production processes to identify inefficiencies and areas requiring corrective action.
- Support Total Quality Management (TQM) initiatives and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, and other departments to resolve production challenges and implement process enhancements.
- Ensure manufacturing activities meet established quality standards and customer specifications. Facilities & Equipment Management
- Oversee facility maintenance, security, and general operational readiness.
- Ensure critical facility systems, including HVAC, electrical power, and water, are properly maintained.
- Evaluate equipment requirements and justify capital equipment acquisitions.
- Support the implementation of new manufacturing technologies and equipment.
- Ensure facilities and manufacturing operations comply with OSHA, DEP, and applicable environmental and safety regulations.
- Oversee hazardous waste management programs and maintain compliance with established procedures.
- Promote a safe working environment and ensure employees follow company safety policies. Financial & Budget Management
- Develop, establish, and manage departmental operating budgets.
- Monitor manufacturing and facilities expenses to ensure operations remain within budget.
- Evaluate production costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
- Support capital planning and equipment investment decisions.
- Balance production efficiency, quality objectives, and financial performance. Leadership & Employee Development
- Lead, supervise, and develop production and facilities personnel.
- Establish departmental objectives, assign responsibilities, and monitor performance.
- Conduct regular team meetings to communicate production priorities, operational progress, and improvement initiatives.
- Coach and mentor employees to improve technical capabilities and overall performance.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing employee feedback.
- Develop and implement training programs to support new manufacturing technologies and operational requirements.
- Support employee career development and succession planning.
- Foster a collaborative, accountable, and safety-conscious work environment. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience within electronics and/or electromechanical manufacturing.
- Demonstrated experience managing manufacturing operations, production personnel, and operational performance.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production scheduling, quality standards, and inventory management.
- Experience implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, efficiency, and productivity.
- Ability to manage departmental budgets and control operational costs.
- Working knowledge of manufacturing safety requirements and regulatory compliance.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and employee development skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and make sound operational decisions. Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing production operations in an electronics manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with printed circuit board assemblies, electronic assemblies, cable and wire harnesses, or electromechanical box-build manufacturing.
- Experience with lean manufacturing, TQM, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Background overseeing facility operations, equipment maintenance, and capital equipment investments.
- Familiarity with OSHA, DEP, and hazardous waste management requirements.
- Experience introducing new manufacturing equipment, processes, or technologies.
