Job Description

Operations Manager Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership and strategic direction to the operations team
  • Oversee and manage all aspects of operations, including production, logistics, and supply chain
  • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth execution of projects
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions to drive operational excellence
  • Lead business development efforts to expand the company's customer base and increase revenue
  • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to optimize cost savings
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational performance and make data-driven decisions
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards
Duties:
  • Operate manufacturing equipment and machinery in a food processing environment
  • Follow standard operating procedures to ensure product quality and safety
  • Monitor production processes and make adjustments as necessary
  • Perform basic maintenance tasks on equipment
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Assist with packaging and labeling of finished products
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production goals
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in the food industry or a related field is preferred
  • Basic math skills for measuring ingredients and calculating quantities
  • Mechanical knowledge to operate and troubleshoot machinery
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
  • Proven experience in operations management, preferably in a similar industry
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Strong business acumen with a focus on driving growth and profitability
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate contracts and manage vendor relationships
  • Experience in process improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma is a plus
