In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily production activities, ensure adherence to safety standards, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Your leadership will inspire teams to meet quality, efficiency, and safety goals while maintaining a vibrant and collaborative work environment. Duties Focus on performance improvements that yield zero accidents, defect free products, on demand and on time delivery, at the lowest cost by partnering with the plant's process owners and champions to drive results. Ensures projects are on time and on budget, manages expectations and risks. Create project plans, timelines, critical paths, and milestones. Perform cost-benefit evaluation for all assigned projects to define potential financial, business, and industry impacts of initiatives. Work as a member of the management team to achieve plant safety, quality, production, and profit goals. Define, implement, and lead the achievement of production department goals. Complete and present annual performance appraisals for all direct report employees, outlining positive and negative performance, and document a plan of action for sub-par performers. Assess the skill level of employees and provide training as needed to advance skills. Mentor team members, assisting in creating professional and technical growth goals for each team member. Identify future leaders within the plant and support their leadership development. Ensure necessary training is provided to the production team. Participate with human resources in the process of hiring and/or terminating employees, as needed. Participate with other Managers within the organization in developing best practices and implementing standard policies, procedures, and instructions for the production team. Ensure new product launches meet safety, capacity, manpower, and efficiency goals. Review forward production demand and make recommendations for manpower level adjustments on a monthly basis. Monitor and control overtime schedules and costs. Review equipment capacity on a monthly basis. Create contingency plans for key equipment. Maintain a consistent presence on the production floor. Coordinate maintenance activities within the production departments. Coach supervisors to lead their teams, engage with their employees, and have a continual presence on the floor. Lead compliance with all safety standards. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field, preferred 5-7 years of demonstrated experience directly leading teams in an industrial environment (including involvement with the disciplinary, performance appraisal, and hiring processes) Strong interpersonal, teamwork, organizational, and collaboration skills Ability to perform projects with a high degree of detail Exceptional professional attributes that include self-motivation, dependability, and confidentiality Ability to build effective work relationships, exceptional problem solving and communication skills Experience in metal forming, preferred Join us as we strive for excellence in manufacturing!
