Overview:
Auto Cast is seeking a Plant Manager to oversee the entire operation of our die-cast facility. The right person for the position will be knowledgeable about the high pressure die casting processes as well as its machinery and maintenance, has a strong background in operational leadership, and places a priority on safety and compliance within the organization. The Plant Manager will be responsible for managing production schedules to ensure that production targets are met, optimizing efficiency, ensuring quality control, supervising staff, maintaining equipment and ensuring that the plant operates within budget through resource management. The Plant Manager will be the driving force behind continuous improvement and cost reduction.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Operations oversight: Manage the overall operation of the plant, including assuring productivity, quality and deliveries are maintained at proper levels. This will include meeting with each department to assess needs and improvements, as well as working closely with maintenance to manage and maintain the equipment, building and grounds for repairs and improvements.
Quality and Scrap Control:
Monitor defect rates and drive scrap reduction while ensuring adherence to quality standards set by customers as well as

requirements.
Budget and Performance:
Responsible for purchasing supplies and replacement items as needed, as well as working with new and existing vendors and suppliers on quotes for products and services to ensure operation within target for profitability.
Staff Leadership:
Manage and supervise all reporting personnel on all shifts, while organizing training and continuous improvement initiatives.
Safety and Compliance:
Model and enforce strict safety standards and protocols, as well as maintaining SDS, Forklift and Overhead Crane training and licensing, Lockout/Tagout procedure training and use. Will also be responsible for enforcing environmental regulations, tracking energy use and seeking upgrades and rebates.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Experience:
5 or more years of hands-on experience in high-pressure die casting, foundry operations or heavy manufacturing leadership.
Technical Skills:
Strong understanding of die casting machine operation, tooling, cycle times, maintenance uptime and process troubleshooting.
Leadership:
