Job Description
Role Summary:
The Manager of the Production Department in the Pellet Plant is responsible for ensuring the Plant reliability, efficiency, and availability of equipment critical to pellet production. This role requires overseeing plant productivity adhering to the quality requirement, managing teams, optimizing equipment performance, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.Key Responsibilities:
Production and Reliability- To plan, schedule, and oversee plant production for achieving the targets
- To ensure optimal functioning of equipment pertaining to Beneficiation plant
- To analyze equipment performance data to identify and resolve recurring issues.
- To ensure availability of raw materials Team Leadership and Coordination
- To lead, train, and mentor the Production team, including engineers, supervisors, and technicians.
- To foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- To develop a collaborative working relationship with mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation teams to ensure seamless plant operations. Plant Optimization and Upgrades
- To evaluate the Plant performance and recommend process improvements or upgrades
- To identify bottlenecks in plant and resolving the same with available resources
- To ensure the specific power consumption as required Safety and Compliance
- To enforce adherence to safety standards, procedures, and regulations.
- To conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and training sessions for production staff.
- To ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and environmental standards related to plant operations . Resource and Cost Management
- To identify and utilize resources to avoid downtime while optimizing costs.
- To develop and monitor budgets for plant operation. Reporting and Analysis
- To prepare detailed MIS reports on plant performance, maintenance activities, and downtime analysis.

Annual Business Plan Qualifications and Skills:
Education and Experience Technical Skills Soft Skills- Bachelor's degree in mechanical/metallurgy engineering or a related field (master's preferred).
- Min 15 to 20 to years of experience in Production, preferably in Pellet plants or similar heavy industry.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing production processes and leading diverse teams.
- Strong understanding of Pelletization processes, equipment and Operation
- Proficiency in process optimization tools and techniques.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations for health, safety, and environment.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent problem solving and trouble shooting skills. Certifications (Optional):
- Certifications in Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM), Root Cause Analysis (RCA), or similar fields are a plus.
Salary:
- $150,000 - $170,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
