Job Description

Role Summary:
The Supervisor of the Production Department in the Pellet Plant is responsible for ensuring the Plant reliability, efficiency, and availability of equipment critical to pellet production. This role requires monitoring plant productivity adhering to the quality requirement, optimizing equipment performance, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Production and Reliability Management
  • To plan, schedule, and monitor plant production for achieving the targets
  • To ensure optimal functioning of equipment pertaining to Beneficiation plant Plant Optimization and Upgrades
  • To monitor and record the Plant performance and recommend process improvements or upgrades
  • To identify bottlenecks in plant
  • To ensure the parameters as required Safety and Compliance
  • To follow safety standards, procedures, and regulations.
  • To conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments of the jobs undertaken. Resource Management
  • To identify and utilize resources to avoid downtime while optimizing costs. Reporting and Analysis
  • To prepare MIS reports on plant performance, maintenance activities, and downtime analysis.
  • To Maintain accurate records of specific consumption
  • To track record of the available resources
Qualifications and Skills:
Education and Experience Technical Skills Soft Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical/metallurgy engineering or a related field (master's preferred).
  • Min 2 to 5 to years of experience in Production, preferably in Pellet plants or similar heavy industry.
  • Strong understanding of Pelletization processes, equipment and Operation
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations for health, safety, and environment.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Analytical and problem solving skills to address operational challenges. Certifications (Optional):
  • Certifications in Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM), Root Cause Analysis (RCA), or similar fields are a plus.
Salary:
  • $80,000 - $100,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
