Job Summary:
The Production Manager handles strategic activities and vision of a high functioning area in terms of performance and productivity. Develop and implements improvements in production methods. Participates in budget preparation for production expenses and capital investment requests. Administers company policies in assigned department.Essential Responsibilities/Activities:
Leads strategic initiatives and vision for a high-performing department to enhance performance and productivity. Drives the development and implementation of improvements in production methods for increased efficiency. Contributes to budget preparation for production expenses and capital investment requests. Administers and enforce company policies within the assigned area. Monitors operations and trigger corrective actions Commitment to plant safety procedures Stays up to date with latest production management best practices and conceptsEducation and Experience Requirements:
BS degree in Production Management, Operations, or related field OR 6 to 8 years' experience in manufacturing, production, supply chain, or related area. Prior work experience with Lean Manufacturing processesKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
Proven work experience as a plant manager, or equivalent Proven managerial experience Adequate knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation and human resources) Familiarity with industry standard equipment and technical expertise Be knowledgeable of safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, inventory and stewardship processes Computer literacy Ability to create accountability and to lead by example Strong team building, decision-making and people management skillsWork Environment:
While performing the duties of this job the employee will work in a manufacturing facility and regularly be exposed to: Humidity, loud noises, dirt Varying temperatures Sheet Metal Forklift traffic Lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to stand comfortably for prolonged periods of time, as much as 95% of the workday. Climbing Stooping Ability for occasional travel as the job may require visiting customers and project sites.Disclaimer:
