Job Description

Senior Process Project ManagerPosition Summary The Senior Process Project Manager is responsible for leading and executing strategic capital investment and process improvement initiatives that enhance manufacturing performance, reliability, efficiency, and product quality. This role manages projects from concept through implementation, ensuring alignment with operational objectives, engineering standards, regulatory requirements, and financial goals. The position requires collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders, including Operations, Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, Finance, Supply Chain, Safety, and external vendors, to successfully deliver complex projects within regulated manufacturing environments. Key Responsibilities Define project objectives, scope, deliverables, timelines, budgets, and performance metrics to support strategic business initiatives. Lead end-to-end project execution, including planning, design, procurement, installation, commissioning, startup, and project closeout. Conduct site assessments, feasibility studies, risk analyses, and cost-benefit evaluations to support capital investment decisions. Develop and maintain project documentation, including process flow diagrams, equipment specifications, scopes of work, schedules, cost estimates, ROI analyses, and risk assessments. Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure project requirements align with operational, quality, safety, regulatory, and business objectives. Manage project schedules, identify critical path activities, mitigate risks, and communicate project status to leadership and stakeholders. Oversee vendor selection, contract negotiations, equipment procurement, and contractor performance throughout project execution. Coordinate project meetings, maintain action-item tracking, and facilitate communication among internal and external stakeholders. Support equipment testing, factory acceptance testing (FAT), site acceptance testing (SAT), commissioning activities, and operational handover. Drive continuous improvement initiatives that improve manufacturing efficiency, capacity, quality, reliability, and operational performance. Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, industry standards, environmental regulations, and corporate policies. Provide leadership and guidance to cross-functional project teams while promoting collaboration and accountability. Required QualificationsEducation Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Food Engineering, or a related technical discipline. Experience 8+ years of project management experience supporting capital projects within manufacturing or industrial environments. Experience managing multi-million-dollar capital expenditure projects. Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams and complex operational initiatives. Experience working within regulated industries and quality-focused manufacturing environments. Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while balancing scope, schedule, budget, and risk. Preferred Qualifications Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. Experience with project governance, stage-gate methodologies, risk management, and capital planning processes. Knowledge of vendor management, contract administration, and procurement practices. Familiarity with process improvement methodologies and continuous improvement initiatives. Experience supporting automation, process controls, manufacturing systems, or equipment integration projects. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, AutoCAD, and data analysis tools.
