Job Description
A well-established manufacturing company is seeking a hands-on , bilingual (English/Spanish) Manufacturing Plant Manager to oversee operations at its Edison, New Jersey facility. This is an excellent opportunity for a proven manufacturing leader who enjoys being on the production floor, developing teams, improving processes, and driving operational excellence. The successful candidate will play a key role in optimizing performance, strengthening accountability, and leading a facility through continued growth and operational improvement. Key Responsibilities Lead day-to-day manufacturing operations, maintenance, shipping, and warehouse activities Drive productivity, efficiency, quality, and cost-reduction initiatives Develop and coach supervisors and production teams Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory requirements Manage production schedules, staffing, inventory, and workflow Partner with engineering, quality, supply chain, and leadership teams Monitor and manage departmental budgets and operating costs Promote a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and teamwork Troubleshoot operational challenges and implement sustainable solutions Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience) Minimum 5 years of plant leadership experience within a manufacturing environment Strong background in production management, process improvement, and employee leadership Experience managing safety, quality, maintenance, and production planning activities Bilingual English/Spanish (written and verbal) Hands-on leadership style with a strong presence on the manufacturing floor Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Preferred Experience Packaging, plastics, converting, food, pharmaceutical, or related manufacturing industries Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, Six Sigma, or Kaizen initiatives Experience leading change and improving plant culture
